Well, I'm still not doing a great job keeping up with the whole blogging thing, but I do at least try to update everyone on my life as things happen. Between September and October, I've been a very busy girl (and will continue to be). We have had several patrols and haven't really had much down time. Last week, we were in San Francisco for Fleet Week 2011. It was a wonderful time.

I was able to see some really good friends I hadn't seen in quite a while. I hung out with Jeannie Crump, Ian Foster, and Matt Pekoske just about everyday we were there. I also met the likes of Marcus Brown and Dave Herndon, both very nice guys. Come to find out, I really like the city of San Francisco (yes, the country girl likes the city). I never thought I'd admit it, but its true. There are just tons of things to do, which is a HUGE change from where I live right now. Who knows, I may end up there next year...my guess is either there or CT (back at the Academy).

Unfortunately, I didn't get too many pictures of me and my friends...in fact I got exactly 1. All of my other pictures were of the air show I got to watch 4 days in a row. The last night we were there Matt, Ian, and I met up with our former CO from THETIS and his wife for dinner. Of course, that would have been the perfect time to get a picture of the 3 of us, but I left my camera on the boat and we left Ian's camera in his truck. And a phone picture just wasn't going to cut it (although, looking back on it I feel a phone picture would've been better than no picture at all).

Overall I had a great time and look forward to being able to visit there, and having all of them come visit me soon. I do realize soon is a relative term, but I use it loosely. Hope y'all are doing well.
I'm so professional :) |
Much Love,
